Placio was founded with a singular purpose — to make high-quality job and internship opportunities accessible to every student in India, regardless of college tier or city.
Where it started
Placio began in 2025. The idea came from a frustration that’s familiar to almost anyone who has searched for their first job or internship in India: relevant openings are scattered across dozens of portals, buried in noisy feeds, gated behind logins, or simply out of date by the time you find them. There was no single place built specifically around how students and freshers actually search — by department, by city, by how much experience a role really needs.
Through 2025 and into 2026, that frustration turned into a working platform — rebuilt, refined, and expanded step by step rather than launched all at once. What you’re using today is the product of that ongoing process, not a finished, static thing.
The problem we’re solving
Most job platforms are built for experienced hires and enterprise recruiters first, with students and freshers treated as an afterthought. Search fields assume you know exactly what job title to type. Filters assume years of experience you don’t have yet. Listings mix senior roles in with entry-level ones, and there’s rarely an easy way to see what’s actually open to a fresher in your city, in your field, today.
Placio starts from the opposite direction: department and experience-level filters designed around early-career search patterns, a dedicated Fresher Zone, and discovery matrices that let you cross a field with a city in one click.
How we curate
Every listing on Placio is reviewed and structured before it’s published — normalized so that searching “Software” or filtering by “Bengaluru” actually returns what you’d expect, even when the original posting used different wording. We don’t manufacture listings or pad the database with stale or duplicate entries; we’d rather show you fewer, real, current opportunities than a large number of irrelevant ones. When a role is filled or removed, its page says so clearly instead of quietly pretending it’s still open.

Final-year students exploring what’s out there. Recent graduates looking for their first real role. Early-career professionals with a year or two of experience deciding on a next step. Placio is built around that stage of a career — not against experienced hires, just genuinely for the people who are usually underserved by the rest of the industry.

We want a future where the opportunity you find is determined by fit and effort, not by which portal you happened to check first or which college placement cell you have access to. That means continuing to widen coverage across departments and cities, sharpening how listings are matched and recommended, and adding the kind of practical career guidance that’s usually locked away in paid courses.
